East Kalimantan is Indonesia's second largest province, with an area of 245,237.80 km2 or about one-half times the island of Java and Madura, or 11% of the total area of Indonesia. This province borders with neighboring countries, namely the State of Sabah and Sarawak, East Malaysia.
