CENTRAL JAVA

     Central Java is a province of Indonesia which is located in the central part of Java Island. This province borders the province of West Java in the west, Indian Ocean and Yogyakarta to the south, East Java in the east, and the Java Sea to the north. Its area is 32,548 km ², or approximately 25.04% of the island of Java. Central Java province also includes the island of Nusakambangan in the south (near the border with West Java), and the Karimun Java archipelago in the Java Sea.
      Central Java sense geographically and culturally sometimes also includes the area of Yogyakarta Special Region. Central Java is known as the "heart" of Javanese culture. Nevertheless in this province there are other tribes who have a different culture with tribes such as the Sundanese of Java on the border with West Java. In addition there are Chinese-Indonesian citizens, the Arab-India-Indonesia and Indonesia who are spread throughout the province.

BOROBUDUR TEMPLE

PRAMBANAN TEMPLE
     Prambanan is the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia. Located on the island of Java, approximately 20 km east of Yogyakarta, 40 km west of Surakarta and 120 km south of Semarang, just on the borderbetween Central Java and Yogyakarta.
      Prambanan was built in about the year 850 AD by one of these two, namely Rakai Pikatan (second King of the Mataram dynasty I) or Balitung Maha Sambu during the Sanjaya dynasty. Not long after being built, the temple was abandoned and deteriorating.



KARIMUNJAWA ISLANDS 
     One of the leading marine attractions in Karimun island of Central Java is one of the sub district of Jepara, is also the only district in Central Java, separated by the mainland Java sea within 45 nautical miles from the capital district and 60 miles northwest of provincial capital . Karimunjawa a string of small islands consisting of 27 islands with an area of ​​7129 ha and 107,225 ha of water area. DEMAK GREAT MOSQUE
     Demak Great Mosque is the site of the oldest relics of Islam in Indonesia in the form of an ancient mosquewhose architecture is a blend of ancient Javanese architecture in the Hindu kingdom. BATU RADEN TOURISM
     Baturaden is a natural tourist attraction located in Banyumas, Central Java. Baturaden is located in the northern city of Noida right on the slopes south of Mount Slamet. MOUNTAIN RESORT TAMAWANGU

MERAPI MOUNT
     Merapi (peak height of 2968 m above sea level, per 2006) is a volcano in the central part of Java Islandand is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia. Slopes of the south side are in the administrative districtof Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region, and the rest are in the area of Central Java Province, the MagelangDistrict on the west side, Boyolali district on the north and east, and Klaten district in the southeastern side. Forest area around the peak to be Mount Merapi National Park area since 2004.
